La Défriche is a CJEP program that assists in the development of entrepreneurial projects. For several years, the CJEP has brought together young people from Pontiac around an entrepreneurship committee to build strategies and acquire key skills for entrepreneurship.
This is how the “Jeu Entreprendre Pontiac” initiative was created, a free program offering personalized support and simple tools designed to facilitate project launch.
With “Jeu Entreprendre Pontiac”, it is possible to:
- build a business plan with tailored support;
- identify resources, challenges, and solutions to progress;
- participate in workshops and working groups to develop leadership skills;
- meet local entrepreneurs and benefit from mentorship or internship opportunities;
- take part in brainstorming sessions to generate viable ideas;
- receive advice and feedback from a dedicated validation committee;
- represent Pontiac youth in discussions on local entrepreneurship.
To encourage effort and leadership, an awards ceremony recognizes the most promising projects, with financial support to help them progress.
Several projects from Pontiac high schools have already excelled in regional and national competitions, such as Équipiste, which won gold at the regional Défi OseEntreprendre, bronze at the national level, and the Forces AVENIR award.
