Position: School Custodian / Janitor (Préposé(e) à l’entretien ménager)
Employment Type: Full-time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Hourly Wage: $23.83 per hour
Position Summary
Seeking a reliable, conscientious, and motivated individual to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning
environment at a school in Chapeau, Quebec.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily cleaning of school facilities to ensure that classrooms,
hallways, washrooms, and common areas meet established standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
Work Schedule
The position offers 35 hours per week, with a split daily schedule:
Midday shift: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Afternoon/evening shift: 3:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Requirements
Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, washrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Sweep, vacuum, wash, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
Empty waste and recycling containers and dispose of waste appropriately.
Replenish washroom supplies and cleaning materials as required.
Maintain cleanliness in designated school areas, including entrances and staff facilities.
Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products in accordance with safety procedures.
Report issues, safety hazards, and equipment problems to the appropriate supervisor.
Follow established health, safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
