Have you recently arrived in Quebec and want to better understand settlement procedures and Quebec’s community life? The Programme d’accompagnement et de soutien à l’intégration (PASI) supports you through your first steps and your long-term integration.
This program aims to:
- facilitate your settlement in the Pontiac upon arrival;
- support your integration into Quebec society;
- encourage your active participation in community life in French;
- provide personalized support based on your needs.
Through PASI, you can receive support with several essential steps, including:
- obtaining important documents (RAMQ, SIN, driver’s licence, government forms);
- completing forms (tax credits, family benefits, etc.);
- finding housing and a family doctor;
- opening a bank account;
- enrolling children in school and finding childcare services;
- understanding the Quebec education system;
- supporting French language learning and practice;
- workshops on personal finance (budgeting, credit, insurance);
- cultural activities and outings;
- cooking workshops and group activities;
- support with various immigration-related procedures.
The PASI is available to most immigrants, particularly those with one of the following statuses:
- Canadian citizen;
- permanent resident;
- work permit holder;
- study permit holder.
